You read this list, it’s understandable why Republicans make such a big deal of George Bush’s service in the Texas ANG – from their perspective, he’s a seasoned military veteran.

Where’d you get the list, Harry? not saying its wrong or anything, but there are a lot more Republican types listed than Dem types. And what criteria did they use? Rove is an operative, not a elected guy, for example.

After all the purges, there just not many Democrats left!! I think people like Rove are fair game, he’s deeply involved in making national policy, as are most of the other non-elected Repubs on the list. If this was 1998, there would be several Clintonistas on there instead.

    Purges? I don’t get it.

Is this limited to the leadership of the House and Senate, cabinet and WH staff types, plus…presidential candidates?

Just trying to figure out how one makes the list…

Purges == getting their butts kicked in elections

The point is, there’s a glaring lack of military service among leading Republicans. When you’re as willing to position yourself as the party of the hawks, it’s interesting, that’s all.
