Me, driving the tractor

Among other things I’ve had going on, learning to drive a tractor has taken its place. The extent of my tractor driving is, so far, using it to mow the area around a cabin and pond on property my wife’s family owns about 40 miles from home. I’ve learned a few things:

  • slopes aren’t fun on a tractor
  • slow and steady works best
  • you can bog down a finish mowing deck in high grass
  • mowing on a tractor is hot work

But, it is a nice change of pace from worrying about databases and servers.

Hi, Harry! This Judy Magee….Phil Magee’s wife and Casey Magee’s momma? LOVE your blogging. You are SUCH an interesting person and have such wonderful insight…..not trying to flatter….just telling truth.

Phil loves his old tractors that he inherited from his Daddy and Momma. I think they are good therapy for him. He just wishes they had automatic steering on them….lol. He’s looking for another tractor that does have it; but he doesn’t want to pay through the nose for it.

Anywho, give your sweet wife a “howdy” from the Magees; and tell Jennifer “hello” from us….what a sweety!

    Hi Judy,

I saw Phil a few weeks ago, right before Kroger closed down. He looked just like the old Phil! Those were some good times, weren’t they?
